This is in response to poster reputation on our forum....
We understand your concern as our very name easily exposes us to such criticism. However, before addressing some of the complaints found online, we also have a THREE YEAR track record of successfully providing professional job reference services which have landed several hundred of our members REAL JOBS!
First complaint we would like to address is "CareerExcuse copying other company's websites". We did in fact have a issue where a webmaster contracted to create websites for us, allegedly lifted images from another company. Once this complaint came to our attention, we immediately removed all images from the website and terminated the contract with the webmaster. We have since purchased several dozen different templates for our virtual company websites and have very reliable webmaster who has been creating our websites for almost 2yrs now.
Second complaint is that a potential employer called to verify references with one of our companies and the call was answered "thank you for calling CareerExcuse". This is impossible and here is why. Our sales desk phone number is a direct land line, while our virtual companies are on two separate VoIP systems and are forwarded to outsourced answering services who have no idea these companies are virtual. Live operators are provided scripts which they follow very professionally and are virtually indistinguishable from a real company operator. Also, CareerExcuse website is on a separate server from our virtual companies who are all listed under private business domain. In a nutshell, CareerExcuse has built several firewalls to prevent any association with the virtual companies it owns and operates.
Refunds. CareerExcuse uses the largest payment gateway system in the world with a professional dispute center which allows instant refunds up to 45 days from purchase. We are also going to announce a new guarantee/refund program very shortly which will be second to none in our industry.
Unable to reach customer service. This is something that constantly needs improving as our call volume is now very large and growing. We are looking to add a customer service agent from the west coast who can operate the sales desk from 3pm est to 9pm est. We are also looking at a text messaging system for our members where they can communicate 24/7 with their reference provider and CareerExcuse.com.
CareerExcuse does need a venue where members can communicate their success, in fact, CareerExcuse.com has hundreds of emails from our members who were offered not only jobs, but NEW Careers! We wish we could toot our horn and post them all for everyone to see, but our members privacy is also our highest priority.
